Our pewter patina finish is forged from a durable base of steel and is a fine example of how our unique manufacturing techniques add further detail to the natural charm of metals. Last year we bought a letter box and escutchon for the keyhole from you, and thought that we didn't need a knocker. But from time to time we have spoken about getting one, and eventually ordered your knocker to match in Pewter Patina.
When it arrived our first thought was "Phew! - that's heavy!" but when installed on the door, it is exactly right, in weight and size, and makes our old front door look very smart! It's only for our pleasure as our door does not face the street - but I am sure the postman will love using it. Exactly as described and this is a lovely finish.
PS. When cold callers ring and try to sell me a plastic door, I have the perfect line now..... "sorry, you door will not take our knocker"!!!
